Door latch adjustment?

Not a major issue, but the driver's door on my car doesn't close quite as tightly as it should. Is there any adjustment to the door latch? My drivers side doesn't latch quite firmly enough and you can occasionally hear the door rattle/move when going over certain bumps in the road. If it is something simple, I would love to avoid a trip to the dealer, but otherwise I will eventually schedule a visit.

The latch can be adjusted. They do make a special tool that all dealers should have to do it correctly. Although its not absolutely necessary to have it.

Thanks. I'll probably call and set up a trip then... I'd rather have it done right. Just have to wait a bit.. the car is too much fun, especially with the GM stage tune

I thinks it's funny how us SS owners with the stage kit will put up with funny squeaks, rattles, wind noise, etc. so we don't have to give up our cars to the dealer

I have been putting off making the appointment for the same reason.

Or maybe it's all HHR owners?

Or, maybe HHR owner who use the truck for work, and can't afford a day off for a 2 minute fix? Seems every time I have asked Mr. Goodwrench about a wind scream, they want me to give up a days pay and pay them for a day. I found that I can usually bend the door when it gets really bad, lasts for a day or 2. I open & close the driver side 20-30 times a day (Average).

I think I took care of it. I found that it wasn't really that the door latch was loose, but it was the strike plate that was making the noise. Since I am a bit impatient, I just loosened, readjusted the plate, and tightened it up. It does not seem to make noise anymore! :)
