Rear Door Adjustment

I'm preparing for a road trip and the air noise around the rear doors is driving me nuts. Looking at the doors they seem to sit 1/8" higher than the roof line at the back. Opening them reveals that road grime blows in past the seal on the bottom. The doors seem to close in perfect alignment until they hit the latch pins and they ride up. I don't think it is a hinge issue and I am aware the only way to adjust the hinges is to bend them or replace them with new which should restore factory alignment. I've read in threads that the striker is adjustable so I tried to move the pin, short of a BFH I'm at a loss, I loosened the machine screws but nothing seems to adjust. Then I looked at the latch which appears even less likely to be adjustable. Is there a non destructive, cost effective way to make this adjustment?

Not really sure, but that would sound more like a striker issue. I know on my truck you can adjust the striker, not sure how it works on the HHR though.

I'm friends with a teacher from high school, and he's big into cars and working on them. He just showed me a trick how to tell if it's the hinge or striker, because my truck has this issue. Slowly shut the door, and watch how it lines up. Right before it hits the striker, is it all lined up good with the rest of the body lines and all? If so, then chances are the striker pushes it up and your problem is there. If the door isn't aligned at that point, then you've got a hinge problem.

Never mind I found what I needed. They are adjustable just need to be smarter than the car.
