Question Door will not unlock

I have a 2007 HHR and this morning when I went to go to work my drivers door will not open the knob appears to go up and down so I assume the motor is working. And the key will not unlock it either. When I try and manually pull up or push down on the knob there doesn't appear to be resistance or click like the other three (3) doors.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Sounds like the linkage has come loose inside the door. Most likely at the point where it connects at the lock cylinder.

A locksmith or body shop may be able to get it opened.

lubed the latch

Well I read on another post about banging on the door below the lock, I think it was called the fonzie fix. And it.opened. so I sprayed the latch and.rotated the lever inside the latch and it appears to be working again.

Thanks for the help and responses.

That's how I had to open the dash compartment after they did the recall and put that 'thing' in it to prevent it from popping open in case of an accident. It made ours almost impossible to open.
