please describe the noise, a clunk or grind or rattle, or maybe whistle?

The SS makes a fairly loud ticking due to the high pressure fuel injection, but more detail would help.

Lot's more detail would be better.

How many miles or on your HHR?

Do you have a check engine light on now, or has it come on and gone off recently?

How many miles since your last oil change?

Is the noise a ticking sound, or a clatter/rattle?

Does the noise get louder with increased revs, or is it primarily at idle?

But in fairness, I suspect, after looking at other posts by the OP, American English is NOT his/her first language.
