Do I have a car or motorbike?

for free.

MY 2011 Chevy HHR sounds like a motorbike when I accelerate. I don't know much about cars so I asked my brother to look at it. He mentioned a donut or something. How much for the Cat repair so I can guesstimate how muvh it will set me back?

A new cat is around $200.00 to $300.00, most come with gaskets, some call the front a donut

If it is just the flex pipe cracked the part is about $35 + an hour or 2 labor. And then check the motor mount < the usual reason by looking through the oblong hole in the passenger side wheel well, if you don't see a bolt head centered it is bad.

BTW, it is dangerous to drive with an exhaust leak.

If you only hear it while rolling it might be a hub/bearing.
