We have two in our family and love them both as well. Of course I am partial to my project over my wife's eyelash wearin' diva HHR....but I'm gonna tear into that one once my project gets done. :)

The OP was one of the people that could not understand that obtaining the OBDII codes was "fairly important" in determining what the problems were related to.

He's been hating the car for over a year since his first post. He probably burned his bridges with the dealer that sold him his certified car.

Oh well.

Like any car, some HHR's will have more problems than others. Over the years, I have found most, not all, problems with cars are closely related to the maintenance they receive, and how they are driven. My 2007 HHR, has been a very acceptable car, have really only had one issue with it, when it was about a year old, promptly resolved under warrantee.

In the words of Flower, "if can't say anything nice don't say nothing at all". and if you don't know cars and have an understanding of how they work , take the bus

I bought my HHR a lease turn in with 32,000 miles the first problum was the VVT solenoids thanks to Whopper $115.00 and 2o minutes to change, the most $$ was the alternater $516.00 and battery at 52,000 miles battery $136.00, flex pipe $135.00 shipped andinstalled, several other things because of mileage and everyone was replaceing them and the mileage on my HHR not knowing if they neede to be replaced, changed the rear shocks with KTB just because of mileage, and FE-5 struts because of 62,000 miles, will keep my HHR and still love.
