Front Seat Plastic Shroud

Hi everyone. Only my second post here. Usually I can find any questions I need answered by using that little search bar thingy but for some reason I can't find this one.

I need to remove the plastic shroud around the bottom front of the front seat of my 07 LT. I hope I described that correctly. My drivers seat has developed a little bit of a wiggle, and I was going to check to see if any bolts or whatnot may have loosened. I tried removing it, but it seems to be connected on the right side near the center console. I dont want to pull too hard and crack something. What am I missing to get that off? Thank you in advance for any help

Take a look at this "exploded" illustration of the seat assembly, GM loves to hide fasteners and clips. Hope this helps.

Wow that's awesome. Thank you so much. It looks like there's a screw (#27) that I may need to remove. I'm also going to print this out for future reference. Thanks again!

Easy way to look under there is to take out the 2 rear mounting bolts, then lean the seat up forward, towards the dash.
First. Just slide the seat all the way forward and the rear mount bolts will be visible.
Heres a pic that shows where the rear bolts are. (Mine is slightly modded as far as the mounting bar, but your's will have the bolts in the same location.)

That's a great idea too. I saw those 2 mounting bolts but I didn't know I could remove them and tilt the seat forward. This may be a dumb question but when I tilt the seat forward after removing the two bolts is there enough play in the wires for the electric parts in the seat or do I need to disconnect anything to prevent damaging wires or something?

I've had both my seats out a couple times. There was enough slack in the wiring to lean the seat up, prop it up with a short 2x4, then disconnect the wiring. The wiring connections are towards the front.
You'll have to lean the seatback, back some to let you tilt the whole seat up far enough.

Not sure if the console gets in the way because I had mine out at the time.
