Hand rotations

2011 LT HHR 2.4. Just installed new timing gears, chains, guides and tensioners. It's a complete Cloyes kit including a new water pump. I would really like to hand rotate the engine prior to startup. I am very confident that the marks are correct (?) and I also know from previous experience, that once it is rotated, the original timing marks do not lineup. Is it necessary that the marks lineup at this point prior to final startup? I have read somewhere that it takes 23 complete rotations for the marks to line back up. Thanks for your help and advice.

If you installed the kit correctly, go ahead and hand crank it, but never turn that crankshaft counter clockwise.
But first a check list, did you torque all those fasteners correctly?
are the timing marks correctly aligned?
And before you start it up, fresh 50/50 Dexcool in the rad cap filler?

Why do you want to hand rotate it ? What is the reason ? Saying the timing marks are lined up, then putting (?) next to it. Are you sure you know what you’re doing here ?
No. The timing marks don’t need to be lined up to start. Think about it. Are they lined up every time someone starts their car ?
