A lot of flat rate hours for the job. And a dealership will only do the exact repair that is in the book. If the book says replace the entire assembly, that's what they Will do.

I would suggest finding an independent shop.

 

Sounds like the temp door broke. They make a repair kit for the equinox.

I wonder it the repair kit would work on an hhr.

 

Possible related problem, my 2008 SS 5sp has started making a loud flapping noise from center dash vent area at higher blower speeds. I pulled bezel around radio to look in vents and can see a gray foam seal, I believe is blend door seal, loose and flapping around. Anyone out there aware of a bulletin covering this issue??

 

Why would you seek a bulletin?

I never heard of it.

I don't think you can see the blend door from the center vents. I don't know for sure.

 

Has anyone tired the blend door repair kit on the hhr?
