heater problem

I have been searching since last night and can not seem to find the answer.

Out of the blue my vent selector stopped working. air is only coming out of the vents. I turn the knob and nothing happens. I live in ohio defroster is like a must right now. does any one have any ideas where to start looking.

I am thinking maybe its a fuse. the ac wont engage either. fan speed works fine and so does temp control. ( I will double check heat control here in a min)

any idea folks?

Try "mode door". There will be a lot about "blend door", but they are related. There is a door and an actuator. 8,11,7,3 in the drawing.

Well then your added note would make me start looking at fuses.

Fuse #10, 16 and relay #30 in the inside fuse box location.

Fwiw. All I did is look in the owners manual for the related ones. It should also be labeled on the box cover.

I would go look for my Owners Manual and look, but you could do that, and I wouldn't get cold.

Fwiw. Fuses usually don't blow without a reason. Something drawing too much current or a possible short could be the cause.
I hope it doesn't blow again, but don't be surprised if it does.
