Well, verified it's not the microchip in the key, tried the other one and still the same thing. So marking that off the bucket list and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get the charging system tested and from what I've found here so far, is to expect some initial draw from the power assist steering and/or the throttle body if I followed that thread correctly
