help! (cant find this exact problem thru search) rubbing noise

Which springy thingy? The indicator or the sliders? Sometimes the sliders will contact the rotor and cause a squealing.

looked like a thin piece kinda like that but the sliders and indicators were whole and complete, either a broken hunk from the old set or something kicked up by the road.
