Tune up is easy, but at 56K it should nothing, you don't need a tune up, and when you do at 100,000 miles that is simply 4 spark plugs, the air filter is refular maintenance.

you need to move this to the Maintenance service and repairs, or the general forum would meore appropriate and should get you more help. But trust me a tuneup is much simpler and easier on your HHR than a 1986 Crown Vic,, and you definitely should not need a tuneup!

Good call, Bob, I moved it to new thread.

Hi Truggle, to the forums!!

What Bob said above is true, not much to a tune up on these cars. You need to get to your local auto parts store so they can read the CEL codes. Get just the code, not any description they might give. Post the codes up here, and we'll help you figure out what your HHR needs. Without the codes, we would just be taking wild guesses at what the problem may be.

There are 1,000 reasons for the check engine light, other than the gas cap.

Getting to the plugs on a Crown Vic is much harder than an HHR.
