I have a 09 HHR SS that i just preformed a timing chain replacement on. Had pending Codes p0014 and p0341 after initial startup. Cleared codes by unhooking battery. Now im facing a stuck odometer at 98,701. upon resetting my trip A and B they started to work again, but the odometer has stayed the same. Also a dead check engine light. It turned on for the first start up for half a second and shut off. has not came back on at all since. Even when i turn the key on. I get all the other dash lights but the check engine light. Any one have any idea what could cause this. im thinking my ECM or BCM is damaged?

 

P0341 is the intake camshaft position SENSOR, The Poo14 is the exhaust position SYSTEM.
I would look at wires that might have been compromised in those areas.
The odometer gets it's data from the BCM on a CANbus data line.
The CEL is controlled by the ECM by sending a GROUND signal; ignition voltage on the other side.

Have you tried to pull codes since this? There are a lot of U codes that might help.
Any other work inside the car?

Check the underhood fuse panel, loose fuses or relays .
check the ground wires make sure they are clean and tight.
does the dash power port work or OBD II port? They are on the same fuse.
