The lower two quotes are in my signature. I meant these two:

Do you mean a P0010 code?

If that's the case, give the following thread a read....

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...13-14-a-28779/

You'll note that we've looped right back to whopper's reply in post #5 from 2012.

So it's the same thing/part?! just needed to confirm before we buy the parts!! Hubby went to buy them and counter person told him it was only one part that was needed so it confused me since we replaced two in 2012!!

If it's the p0010 code, you only need the one solenoid - the one for the INTAKE side - you do not need to replace them in pairs, although you may wish to consider doing so rather than face the possibility of tearing apart to replace the other one if it too goes faulty or gets fouled with overdue oil changes etc..

And IMO I'd stick with the genuine GM ones. The part number (GM # 12655420)is at the start of the highlighted thread above: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...13-14-a-28779/

Oh I just read the thread from the start - at that time you replaced the EXHAUST solenoid - so the INTAKE one must be the original - you only replaced the one, not both.
