Help! Need clarification on coil pack vs timing chain
New injectors about $90, new cups and seals about $25, labor about 2 hours in your driveway. It will run well enough to drive to a place to update the computer.
Official flat rate labor is 1.5 hours
ACDelco injectors $65 each, much cheaper online
seal kit $42

Thank you for the info. And yes, they do get extremely snarky. Especially since I am a female. They are worse to me in some places because i am a girl who turns wrenches

Mines a 2007 2.2 so maybe that’s the difference, surprisingly the new injectors have the same old part numbers! Hmmmm.
12582704 superseded to the 12606110 and shouldn’t require telling the ECM anything
The new part box
The old 12582704 injectors from my 2.2
The cross reference I used before I ordered the new injectors.<br/>It worked for my ride. I highly recommend to disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery when you change the injectors.
Did you read the TSB? It doesn't fit because it did not come from the factory, the factory installed a bad part number.
If you want to use the ones that "fit" no need for the programming, but you might get the problem again. That might be Oldblue's P0420 problem.
Does fit 2008.
And yes to disconnecting the negative battery terminal after i pull the fuse for the fuel pump to releases pressure in the fuel lines. I stilll need to know for sure which ones to purchase.
The TSB clearly states the replacement part number to fix the problem.
Parts books only say what came on the car, not upgrade part numbers.
Im curious, what would happen if i get the original fuel injectors new? I assume then that i would not need to reprogram the ecm? I don’t have access to technology like that, so im just wondering..
