My bet is a dying fan motor. Drive it far enough until you hit a bump in the road that gets it spinning.
You could try starting the car again and if the fan doesn't come on, reach under the dash and tap the motor housing with a wrench or something. That may tell you if the motor is sticking or not.

No. Most parts stores can get them. eBay. Amazon etc. For instance: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Depo-335-580...tZY4LR&vxp=mtr

What's wrong with GM part? Many of the vendors on eBay are in fact GM dealerships.

No - just keep your posts on this subject in this thread.

The one I quoted (hey I changed the relay fan still wont work) I merged into this thread. You had originally opened a new separate thread from this one and posted it there.

My 09 is doing the same

My 09 LS panel is doing the same thing. It is not the fan motor, it is not the resistor, it is not the #4 fuse in the fuse box. The relay is on the BCM. The BCM is behind or under the radio. I need to open the center console to get/find the BCM, so I,m looking for a post on how to get to the bcm/radio area. Working on it.

found two posts that may relate some as to what I'm talking about

It could be the control panel.

illustrations are in your Owner Manual. The BCM is the inside fuse box on the passenger side.

Online Owner Manual available through a link in my sig.
