HHR front end noise.
Hub failiure is very common on all makes as they all use very similar ball bearing hubs.
Many are bad long before you hear them.
Most cars today use them because they have less resisitance and add to the MPG. But they do not hold up like the old taper bearings.
There are many new companies that just deal with selling these hubs today since they are in great need.
Many of the brake problems on todays cars are related to bad hubs. Note that most complainets started when the hubs came into use.
Bet its the wheel bearing assm. I just replaced the drivers side, at 69k. It started very subtle and steadily got worse, all in the course of 3 weeks. Would start around 40mph and the noise would sometimes go away at high speed.
This is a constant growl/droaning sound
On second thought.....Don't really care if If i get this fixed or not.. it's soon to be my future ex wives Problem.
It's her's along with the payment.

Have them check the steering column. I just got mine replaced under warranty as this is a known problem for not only clunking noise while going slowly, but a steering problem.
