My driver's side low beam is out. Whenever I wash my car and it is wet the low beam works. Is ther a short somewhere? Minrs is a 2010 HHR LT.

I made your post into a thread of it's own, since it had nothing to do with the thread you posted in.

 

Change the bulb.

 

If changing the bulb does not work like whopper suggested, it is possible there may be a short. But start with changing the bulb before you get into a whole bag of worms with tracing down a short.

Welcome to the site, be sure to remove the gasket ring when you remove the old bulb, this could be due to a loose filament, so change the bulb and while you're at it, change the other side while you have the tools out and your all dirty anyways!!

Mine would not have a low beam while driving nbit would he on when I unlocked rhe car at night. My fix was easy.

Just wiggle the wires.

the HHR is based on the cobalt / G5 which is loaded with electrical problems.
