They blink on, and off twice, then stay lit while the car starts, then shut off. Only when I shifted out of park did I notice the drivers side dim bulb was not lit. Hit the brights and it worked. Changing the bulb fixed it. Not sure if it came as a factory option, but my remote start is after market. Not sure if that makes any difference or none at all. To be honest, I never paid that much attention until it didn't work. Just adding because you all seem very knowledgeable about this stuff and in case it might help others. The first suggestion, "change the bulb" indeed worked. Thanks again!

What ? Aftermarket remote start ? Well, that would have been nice to know with your 1st post.
All the info we've been posting pertains to factory remote start which most HHR's came with. Without knowing how your aftermarket system is installed, it's hard to say how it should function regarding headlights.
