High Beam Headache

Does anyone else have the following issue:

When I go from low beam to high beam at night, there is a moment that everything goes completely dark. It is probably tenths of a second, but it sure seems long.

This does not happen when I go from high beam to low beam... my wife is really concerned about it.

If this is normal for the HHR I'm okay with it and will learn to deal with it, if it is not, I'm going in Tuesday to have a seat cover replaced and will have the dealer look at it.

Thanks for your input.

I can't speak for everyone else, but mine does it too.
Oh and welcome to the forum.

I never noticed it. My low beams are so bright, I seldom have a need to put the high beams on.

I'm like Karen, I seldom use high beams so I'm not sure. Next time I drive after dark I'll check it out.
