I need help - W/W reservoir removal

I have an issue with my washer fluid reservoir. I don't know if it has a loose hose, grommet or is cracked.
would like to take it out but have not been able to find instructions on what to remove so I can get to it.
Has anyone out there removed one before???

As I recall you remove the 3 nuts and remove it.

Of course, knowing what your issues are would help. Is it the color?

If it is emptying itself on your driveway the pump needs replacing.

That link is not particularly enlightening.

The pump is held in by friction at the top and a rubber grommet in the bottom. Any one with fingers can replace it in 5 minutes.

Put the gasket in first then the pump tip will expand it to seal.

Washer Pump

Just wanted to thank you for posting that exploded view of the washer tank and pump. My pump gave out and I just ordered a new one. I did a fair amount of googling and came up with nothing. This forum is still a great resource!

Yep, when mine starts to pee on the driveway then I know it is the rubber gromet. I bought an extra three of them last time I was at the dealership and threw a couple of them in the "catch all" drawer in the garage for next time. And it only take about 1 minute to replace it!

If you live in a cold climate the usual problem is a freeze that breaks the internal seal. For some reason new pumps don't always include a new grommet.
