Jacking points

I have an 07 HHR and it's time to work on its brakes. I was thinking of lifting the entire front and sitting it on 2 stands. However, I'm not sure where I can put the jack. There's this big piece of metal (part of the frame) that seems very tempting, but it's so far to the front that it makes me uncomfortable to use it. I uploaded a photo of it. Can anyone tell me if this is a good spot to use the jack?

Welcome to the site, I use the big flat frame spot, just behind the bolt for the rear lower control arm for my jack stand and farther down under the middle of the front door you'll see a double layer of sub frame, that's where I jack the car up!
Be sure to block the rear tires!
If you don't have the parts yet, you may want to up grade to the larger SS non Brembo rotors, you just need the caliper brackets and the rotors.

Here's a link to Solman98's thread on that,

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/brak...ard-hhr-42938/

and they do fit under the 16 inch steelies!!

Jack points are covered in the Owner Manual, there is a link in my sig.
Basically look at the rocker panels, you will see 2 arrows on each side, they point to a cutout in the rocker.

For jack stands I usually use the flat spots on the front sub-frame.
