Auto correct sucks and for some reason no Sig when posting on the mobile site.

Should be "scantool".

A scantool will cost in the thousands. Needs to be able to access the BCM and the RCDLR.

I just remembered something that may be important.

When the remote was giving me problems I had the dealership put it on a tester and the remote tested fine and after it was tested it worked on my car again. And then a few days of it working like a charm it stopped again. And that about the time the guy came up to me saying his remote was locking and unlocking my car.

The tester only checks the strength of the signal to give an indicator of the battery condition, so, not important.
