They try make you think you need to run their $ app, but it should run the free Torque Lite app fine, or any other app meant for an ELM327. Pretty sure I tried it and it worked.
I have on;y used the FixD twice just to try it
Worked OK but has its limits, And they say you can leave it plugged it 24/7 and if a code pops up send it to your phone !
Yo can not rest ABS
And the Paid app ? I do not have it and think for better detail on codes a real reader is best. But for checking your car or one your looking to buy has its value.
Got mine on a sale promo for $9.95 and got one for 1 cent ! They sit in the glove box till I want to check anything !
Would I pay the 60$ for it ? NOPE use to for a real full use scanner

Torque Lite does everything you need. If you are clueless anything that can change things can be dangerous. There are only 4 things reading ABS could tell you, mainly which wheel is the problem then if it is open or short, anybody with a bit of research can do that without a reader. Airbag system should not be messed with by people that have to ask why.
For that matter there are quite a few other softwares out there, thing is OBD2 only has a limited number of nodes and Torque Lite reads them all. The problem with ANY reader is the operator needs to know what the information actually MEANS, not what is "says". I have used ELM327 devices that me less than $10 that did everything I needed, I used it to interface to my laptop running pretty sophisticated software. You still need to use GoOgle don't ever trust anything the reader suggests without verification. P0017 is a case in point, I wonder how many people have wasted money on crankshaft sensors..
