I just got the letter myself. It made my wife nervous. I told her my forum told me what to do if it locks up on me.

I got my letter a couple of days ago, but they won't reimburse me because of my mileage.

That bites !!! Think Chevy Dealer would be proud to see a hi-miler still rolling smooth.

I have a 2011 which I know isn't supposed to be affected, but I've had issues with my ignition acting like the key is still in place. Mainly it continues to chime like the key is in the ignition when I've already removed it. Is this a precursor to any of the typical ignition cylinder woes?

I totally agree. I told them that I've probable used my ignition less than someone that puts 120,000 miles on their car in 5 or 6 years.

Mine didn't give me any kind of warning before it died. I got to one of my deliveries and I could not shut off my hhr. I am just glad that I was not out of town when it happened.

With your vehicle being a 2011, you should get it to the dealership. This is something that should be covered under the Bumper To Bumper limited warranty.

You can also make sure the dealership properly documents your concerns about this within the system which might prove to be useful if you have this in the future.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks Michelle. :-) I will def have them look at it. It's done this several times, normally just reinserting the key and removing it fixed the issue. With mine still under warranty I would rather be safe than sorry. Like you said could prove useful if worse issues arise.
