Letter from GM for ignition lock cylinder
Me and my fiancé both got our letters together today. We both have 08 models mine is a SS an hers is a LT we both are the 2nd owners. I have not had a problem with my SS but my girls LT has had problems. One time she was stuck for 2 min trying to turn the key. Gonna set a appointment up to get it taken Care of
I have a 2011 which I know isn't supposed to be affected, but I've had issues with my ignition acting like the key is still in place. Mainly it continues to chime like the key is in the ignition when I've already removed it. Is this a precursor to any of the typical ignition cylinder woes?

You can also make sure the dealership properly documents your concerns about this within the system which might prove to be useful if you have this in the future.
Have a great weekend.

Thanks Michelle. :-) I will def have them look at it. It's done this several times, normally just reinserting the key and removing it fixed the issue. With mine still under warranty I would rather be safe than sorry. Like you said could prove useful if worse issues arise.
