Letter from GM for ignition lock cylinder
afornal-
You can easily register your hhr to Chevrolet..
Just call 1-800-222-1020 and do it over the phone.
I thought mine was registered cause I got the letter, but after calling it seems it was not. It is now !!!

@afornal, you can talk with the dealership about this. However, if you would like to send me a PM with the VIN of your HHR, I would be happy to look into this for you.

Hi Michelle.
Is this usa specific, or does it also apply to those of us north of the border?
I bought our 2007 hhr used at a chev dealership, and have no idea if this service has been performed or not. I guess I will have to call them to ask for a service report....been meaning to anyway.

Hi A Crazy Canuck; how are you doing?
Please, send me a private message with the VIN of your HHR and I’ll see if my system pulls up anything for your vehicle. There are times that I can see information for our Canadian neighbors, but I can’t promise anything.

I can not find my letter to take it in and get this fixed, my HHR last night when we went to turn it off would not turn off, key is stuck in the on position and we had to take the battery cable off to get the car to stop running.. can anyone send me a copy of this letter??
I have 136,000 miles on my 2009 HHR and Chevrolet says "sorry". the dealer wants $536 to replace my defective lock cylinder and housing (he couldn't guarantee they wouldn't wreck the housing getting the cylinder out. I have romoved the trim from the steering column but can't figure out hot to remove the antitheft module without breaking the clips, any suggestions?
