You couldn't be more wrong with the statement above. There are different airbags systems for different models/years. Yes, some can be the same and overlap between models/years but you're statement that since they're GM they're all the same. Well, that's just hogwash.
Besides. These parts are made by different vendors and suppliers at times so how could they be the same for all of them.

I know you're just a disgruntled owner that wants to vent but saying false statements is not the way to do it.
You stated in another post that you were going to sell your car and get rid of the problem. That is probably the best thing to do.

I just received the Safety Recall Notice pertaining to the Ignition Switch problem some 2006/2007 HHRs may have. Repair parts not available 'til next Month and GM will notify when they are. Then you have to make an appt. with the dealer to have the work done. (NO charge of course) 2008s and newer aren't involved in this apparently 'cause they're not mentioned.

2010's aren't part of this recall.
They were however, part of the old "good will" replacement of the key cylinder by GM.

Two seperate issues between the recall and the "good will" thing(or whatever it was called) I had mine replaced last year.

I have a 2008 2 LT and had the ignition cylinder replaced last week through GM's "good will" special warranty for the 2008-2009.

If the letter says #12089, Special Coverage, you don't do anything unless it breaks during the 10 year 120K coverage.
My letter came today, its a call notice # 14063 listed as a safety recall.

18 PAGES!!!!!!!!
Does any body bother to look at the first page?

Now we have 18 pages of people not knowing what they mean, because they did not read THE FIRST PAGE!

There is a recall, everybody is aware of it! Now just read the FIRST PAGE and find out what the recall actually means. It is not hiding anywhere.

JEEZ!
