Please, let me know how things went after you have picked up your HHR from the dealership.

I hope you have a great holiday!

Musicguy-"Thanks, hope you have a great holiday as well. The shop is fine, I like the vehicle very much other than the little issues. I was hoping to drive this car for many years, but with rust setting in, and things getting a little creaky at less than 3 years I'm wondering about the longevity. Things seem to have a way of heading south post warranty."

It is looking like it is going to be a HOT one in Michigan this July fourth.

I don't intend to come off like a pushy sales person because I am turned off by those types, but if there is something I can assist you with in the future please, don't hesitate to get a hold of me.

I got a "loaner" car from the dealer and guess what, it is a 2011 HHR. The doors have sealer around the lower edge unlike my 2009.

I'm wondering if I should have received a letter? Mine is a 2010 and we replaced the ignition because something inside the switch came apart and caused us not to be able to turn our car off... Paid $330 to local dealership to replace it at 45,xxx miles! Even contacted GM customer service and NEVER got a resolution... Does it sound like the same problem or is mine one of a kind... I know MANY owners have made complaints about their ignition problems, GM just never showed any concern about my complaint! If I didn't LOVE my hhr, I would have dumped it and bought something other than a GM after the way I was treated! In fact I'm restricted from the local dealer as well! Lol

Please, send me a private message with your VIN and I will look into this for you. If your HHR falls in the program you should be able to get reimbursed the money you have spent.

Is my 2011 immune to the problem? I didn't receive a letter but my car is fairly new...only had since March.

Just had mine malfunction. My HHR wouldnt shut off...luckily the stealership service was still open. They where able to get it done in about 45mins... I was really shocked it was done so fast considering previous encounters with the stealership. Just glad it happened on a day a took off from work and the dealer was open and able to take care of it.

Sounds like all is well in Houston, Try buying a rare HHR from the Ford dealer.
