Liquid in Throttle body???

So my car started limping in a sense, worked when I accelerated but when in drive and foot off brake it would not go forwards on it's own, I would have to give it gas. Well narrowed the problem to Throttle body. A couple weeks ago I had removed the Air Intake and accidentally slipped off the hose from the Throttle body just slightly so unfiltered air probably got in there. Well when I went to clean it it had a black sludge like residue, I chalked it up to the hose and unfiltered air and what not. Well I removed it entirely and cleaned it, I did push the throttle body plate but it was completely removed from the car. Well I was driving it and randomly I got engine reduced power, then I stopped using it and the next day I turned it on and the engine power light warning was gone. Drove it for a while then immediately after turning it off checked the throttle body and saw some type of liquid on the back plate however there was vapor coming from inside the throttle body due to not letting the engine cool down I think. Well now after a week of all that it's back on limp mode. Did I do something wrong?, Is the throttle body cooked, or does it run further than just the throttle body?
KEY INFO:
after cleaning throttle plate, I went on a 1500 mile trip from CALI to Nebraska. Drove it in Nebraska for a week and it was fine and then on the way back to Cali, still in Nebraska it started doing the weird issues.
Started doing the engine reduction in the middle of a wind storm advisory of 40mph winds.
Back In Cali after a week of normal driving it kicked the bucket again.
Total drive: 3,300ish miles in about 1 and half week.
Drive to Nebraska was straight with only stops at gas station and restroom
Drive to Cali, 3 days.

It might be engine oil being sucked thru the hose from the valve cover.

No check engine light, and I was thinking it was oil or gas the liquid.

Probably residual oil from when you overfilled the crankcase. Oldblue has an easy procedure for cleaning the inside of the valve cover.
