Hey There Don't Know If This Problem Has Every Been Discussed Since I'm New But, I Have A 2007 HHR. The Car Makes This Loud Noise When Started, Under Idle, And Acceleration. I Don't Wanna Fix The Wrong Thing, But My Assumption Is It's The Pulley Any Help Would Be Helpful.

" My car makes a noise" has been discussed on this site a bunch. Now if you have a desciption of the noise, it would help to narrow it down. Bang, clunk, squeal, hiss, screech, thump, kaBOOM, rattle: just to name a few.

 

I would start with using "flex pipe" in the search tool.


This is a lot like that AAMCO commercial.

for me my noise is my wife telling me to slow down went I accelerate. LOL

 

My HHR makes a sound like a wide-open outboard motor starting when I hit about 30 mph.

In your bio it shows you have a 2005 HHR. Guess that’s a typo since the year model for the HHR is 2006-2011.
What year and model do you have ?
