I was thinking about ordering the factory "all weather" mats for the front, back and cargo areas. Does anybody have them? Opinions?

My 2007 with 18K on it seems to be holding up ok. I rest my foot on the carpet next to the clutch between shifts, no wear there either.

I replace the carpet mats with deep rubber ones for winter, but the issue I'm having is where the left hand edge of my shoe hits the carpet over the wheel well to the left of the pedal, not down at the heel. I try to keep my foot away, but size 11 winter boots...

I replace all of my carpet floor mats with rubber ones. I have the complete factory carpet mats that have never seen the inside of my car. I have the complete set of factory all weather mats, which are a nice weight. My last car, A Sebring convertible did not have factory rubber mats available. So I purchased a set online. I really liked them. In many ways much better than the factory mats. I would be willing my complete set of factory all weather mats (including cargo mat) in order to purchase another set of those mats....

Yup 1400 miles. Been on the road about 6 weeks. Carpet is down to the backing where the pedal bottoms out and where my shoe rubs beside the pedal on the way down. I cleaned it up the other day and noticed it. Both spots are about the size of a quarter. I pulled the mat out and where the little spikes are to keep the mat from moving left little indentations clear to the backing. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Love it, but there are some major fit and finish issues. Have had a new battery installed already, they ordered a new breather fitting, needs a new stud on the charge pipe. Hope I don't have many more issues, I may have to call Obama and complain. Hehe.

We're getting to the rainy season here in NorCal pretty soon and I don't want to spoil the factory carpet with dirt/water/etc. Thanks for the reply!

I've been known to wear holes in my car mats even though I drive an automatic.

Same thing here. My car has 2500 miles and there is a spot of about 2 square inches where the side of my foot hits it when I push in the clutch. I don't think floor mats would help, unless you bought huge ones, since this area is not covered by the mat. I'm glad to see at least one other person got their carpet replaced by the dealer, because I think I'm going to take mine in and complain as well...

I saw one of the aftermarket pedal manufacturers offers a plate for the mat, so I used some of the spare diamond plate I had laying around to do the same thing. I just cut a rectangle, and used pop rivets to attach it to the stock mat. Wear problem solved.
