Is Motor Mount Sealed?

I am putting the 2010 LT 2.4 back together after the timing chain, balance chain, water pump, front seal, thermostat, etc. Genius that I am, I decided to separate the top and bottom on the motor mount when installing to give me more clearance. The rubber separated and fluid dumped all over.

Are these serviceable? There is little ball in the bottom that looks like it is for injecting fluid. But I cannot figure out how I could do that, nor do I know what fluid to use.

Any difference in quality from any supplier? Looks like I have to order this.

The motor mount is the top above the serpentine tensioner, That is what you are talking about ?

I've had mine off a few times and never noticed a bladder arrangement, just solid rubber.

That is the one Don. And I did not notice the bladder either. That thing is filled with fluid. When you take it off next time, flip it over and you will see a little ball bearing.

Not really sure why you tried to separate the mount into 2 halves. Should have just removed the whole mount, then reinstalled. 3 bolts, 2 nuts.

I looked at my old one. It is a factory sealed unit. Not meant to be taken apart or serviceable. Honestly, I don't see how you separated it. That "ball bearing" is just a spring loaded check valve. I'm sure that's the port they would use to put in the fluid at the manufacturer.

Well, the only repair is a new mount. I guess that's why they are expensive.

You could get a used one. Either wrecking yard... er, I mean auto part recycler, or PM some of the members here who have installed the TTR mount.
