Need BCM but cannot find one

My shop told me I need a new bcm because my headlights are not working but they can't get the part and from what I've checked they're all out of stock online. Anyone delt with this? I'm in Alaska as well.

Many other possibilities as to the head lights not working, fuses relays , ground wires burnt bulb sockets

Welcome to the site.

Doubtful the BCM is the cause.

I guess your lazy shop doesn't know about GoOgle. Get a written money back guaranty that it will fix the problem,. It takes doing something to break the BCM, highly unlikely it is the problem.
I would not bother with a new one. They do need to be programmed new or used. There are services on Ebay that can program for you. You will need to do a key relearn.

looks like the car was in an accident at some point it has an unpainted bumper. I found a company online that will ship me one. I just payed the shop for the diagnostic, they wanted around 600$ to replace it!

For the BCM to be responsible for no headlights, with no other issues, seems odd.

Because the bumper was replaced, there's a chance something got miswired. You need to chech for voltage at the headlight fuse pins.

Does the car have LED headlights, by any chance?
