Body work done on the front end…..I would take a close look at the wiring around that area.
Especially the ground wires for the headlights.

the one I tried to order the website called me to tell me it's not the right part. Yeah if the insurance company totals it you can buy it back and get it back to road worth which is considered reconstructed here.

wouldn't the shop have done that? Should I take it to an eletrical shop instead?

Yes, but you're missing that they are both PCMs. This thread is about BCMs. Anyway, he's found one, so we'll have to wait and see if that fixes the issues.

So the headlights go through the BCM, but the fuses for them are in the underhood fuse block?

oh ok good to know. Can any shop do that? My other option is to send it to an online repair service but looks like they charge atleast 275$
