That's why I tell people, check with your mechanic first, they may not give a guarantee if you bring the part to them.

Oh, they are so easy to do I thought you were doing it yourself. The mechanics around here charge 2X labor if you bring your own parts.

they are also crazy with part costs. Just call a local Chevy Dealer and ask how much it cost to replace a blower motor. "It's part of the hvac system so the entire unit needs to be replaced and the dashboard needs to be removed to do the job so your looking at about $1,956,874.56. We take cash or credit. " lol. Of course then I found this forum and found you simply cut it out. Dealer won't do that. Same thing with the radiator fan they wanted close to $300 for just the part.

FWIW: GM still want about $300 each, that is down from about $600 a few years ago.
So, AutoZone/etc is still a deep discount!
