New Member with question on floor heat

Hello all, Im new here and just bought a 2006 HHR. I already discovered about the Power steering fuse when jumping and how crazy it is to change a headlight bulb. My question is about floor heat. My defrost and dash heat work incredible good and hot but when switching to floor heat there is little or no heat. Has anyone have any tips on correcting this. thanks.

Hello sebreece - type in "floor heat" in the search feature and you will get lots of information on the subject.
It takes a long time to heat the floor areas in any vehicle, not just the HHR, so this a common complaint. Air flow directed to the floor in the HHR is also channeled to the rear seating areas, so the velocity is not the same as air directed to the dashboard outlets.

to the forum sebreece, and congrats on your new ride!

You might also have a sticking or lazy "Blend Door" in the HVAC system, check out the linked thread below...

Also remove the cabin air filter and check it for a buildup of debris, and also check to make sure its even there.

Your problem could be as simple as a twig or leaves where they shouldn't be.

The vague description makes me think about the mode door.

I say Welcome to the site, Enjoy that '06 HHR, and because it's a new to you ride, change the cabin air filter, it will choke a lot of air flow out of any mode the system is in.
Please let us know what fixed your issue!
