OMG I know the answer

This just happened to me only worse. I was riding down the road at midnight and everything died. took 28 hours to get home. Here it is believe it or not. your not getting any power to the front, right. You can run a jumper cable from positive under hood to battery in the back and car will start. You can also do negative makes no difference which one you use. Your anti theft system has locked you out. Disconnect negative terminal in the rear. Only the negative. wait three min reconnect. make sure key fobs and keys are remarried to the ignition. Good luck worked for me. you may have to re-sequence the keys.

I guess Gravy is saying that the big red connection to the under hood fuse box has either frayed or come loose and nobody has ever thought to check it.

For some reason they think the color of the jumper from the fuse box to the battery makes a difference.

The security system activates whenever the battery dies with the key in the ignition. There is no way the key would be affected, but a 2008 may need the RCDLR re loaded with updated firmware, so the fob could be affected.
