No power at fusebox fuse 30 rear power outlet
No power at fusebox fuse 30 rear power outlet
Still sorting out recent acquisition of 2007 2.4 hhr.
never have enough powerports these days right?
so rear port has no power. Figured was maybe missing/blown fuse. NSL.
checked power to 29, relay 34 and pp30. 29 and 34 have their 12v. Barely register 0.07v give or take off 29. Had already swapped out fuses first before checking for the non existent voltage.
port inside looks ok.
i had already done the tightening down the fusebox screws month ago. Since surrounding area has power i am wondering where to go next.
was planning on installing a new tiger dashcam and the powerplug doesnt stay in the front pp very well at all but does stay out in rear.
i may have to go with aftermarket splitter if this is a pita/big job to fix.

In other words it would require pulling the box apart?
just while messing with checking them today i got a p1682 code out of the blue. Nothing seemed wrong with the ignition so i cleared it for now and ot hasnt popped back up after several stop/starts.
I am afraid of upsetting a hornet’s nest of new electrical gremlins if i pull the box apart and would just buy an after market splitter for the dash port and make due for now.

I assUme that you checked for voltage on BOTH sides of fuse #30?
I finally found a schematic, power does come directly from the battery connection on the fuse box.
You might try tapping on a dowel placed close to fuse #30 to make sure the tab is in the slot.

What do u mean by check both sides? +/-? Yes i did that.
just tried another test. Pos to fuse box 30 and neg to shock tower bolt (ground). Get 12 volts on surrounding relays and 29 AND 30?!
Dowel tapped around it. Can see the metal
pins inside the fuse slot are there.

Fuses have 2 ends. One end has power from the battery the other feeds the circuit. There is no +/- on a fuse. With a good fuse in the holder both ends should read 12V, if only one end has 12V the fuse is bad, if neither end has 12V there is a problem in the guts of the box.
I meant the tabs and slots between the box halves.
If you have 12V on both ends of fuse 30 but no power to the outlet there is a bad connection or broken wire somewhere between the fuse and the outlet.
The pin at the bottom of the outlet is + the sides are -.

Ok so i tested with fuses in place & neg volt meter lead to shock tower for ground. Getting 12v both sides of 30. Same as 29 for comparison.
checked coltage coming out of front (29) power port 12v.
Rear port is registering but only like 0.15v or so.
