No power to the starter
And the original TSB about removing all of the extra stuff hanging on the keyring. The reason for the smaller round hole; the heavy weight hanging on an angle that would encourage the key to turn. Levers and angles and vectors, physics stuff. Then came the cylinder then the switch. They combined all 3 into one recall , eventually. Some particular cars may show them as 2 recalls. Some people that jumped the gun and couldn't wait for the process got an incomplete job or replacement with the old part. Since the recall replaced keys with the VIN assigned pattern some people that had re keyed before got a set of keys that won't unlock the door.
Part of the recall was supposed to be confiscate and destroy the old keys. That did not happen in all cases. <sarcastic comment about ASE certified mechanics deleted>

4 days now and we haven’t heard back from the OP. I guess we just wasted our time telling them to check out a few things like battery voltage and such.
Never understood why people ask for help but don’t do any of the things suggested.
(time stamp shows that mister hhr has been back on the site numerous times since his last post. I’m out. )
