OBD light
:
I don´t know if your warranty covers this issue. I had P0302 & P0303 about one year and seven months ago. I changed spark plugs, swaped coils, added tons of fuel additives, made several rituals like retight fuel cap and load gas at night... nothing worked. I didn´t have warranty, and purchased two new fuel injectors. This rid these codes and no more CEL
I filled it up on Monday, drove it about 95 miles. Filled it back up on Thursday and checked the fuel economy. Getting about 22 mpg. Not happy with that when I used to get 27-29. Puzzling thing though, after each fill up, usually in the late afternoon, the next morning the light will go off. After driving it some then it comes back on. The P0301 code list also suggests injector(s) and maybe ignition pack. Don't know whether mine has the latter, but, does anyone know if these are covered by the 5 year/100000 mile Powertrain warranty? It is no longer under the 3 year/36000 mile warranty and I did not purchase the Extended warranty. Thanks.
OBD Light fixed????
Light would come on, fill it up, it'd go off. Put in new plugs and added some 'seafoam' to it. Had several places run diagnostics on it. Finally took it back to the dealer. They kept it one day and said they cleaned the injectors (under 5/100000 warranty). Cleaned throttle body and replaced air filter. $184 and change. Drove it one day and then Service Traction Control light (ESC) light came on. Back in the shop again. I'm really beginning to dislike this car. Gonna tell dealer the following: Bought the HHR new in 2009, bought a used 2007 Fusion in 2009. Put about the same number of miles on both (HHR 45,000 and Fusion 41,000). Guess which one has been in the shop more? Guess which brand i buy when i go to get another new one?
End of story.
End of story.
OBD Light
Sorry, not the end of the story afterall. Got a call from the Service guy. Said there was still a problem with one of the cylinders not having enough compression. This is a 2009 with only 46000 miles mind you! Going to have to pull the head and do some work on it. Will take several days to a week. He tried to console me saying that this was all under the Powertrain warranty. Rental car too. But, that doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling about this car. I think I'll not be buying another GM product.
