Oil pump , at RockAuto

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...,oil+pump,5564

oil pump repair kit

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...epair+kit,5584

3 hours? It’s in the front cover, 30 minutes, tops.

If you trusted him then , ask him to provide labour, and you buy the parts, I do believe it was his negligence.

He knows I have reasons and basic knowledge to question him...... I was whom sold him parts for 10 years and come from a long line of car enthusiasts/mechanics blood. And I can tell by now when he is lying to me. I just hope he didnt think it was a problem caused because of his ego vs him just being a jerk. Idk we will see cause I brought it up via text.

3 hours comes from the flat rate guide. Surprised me too. Especially when the procedure is remove dampener, remove tensioner, remove 10 bolts; reverse to install new timing cover assembly.

I redid my timing chain that was off one tooth in 2 1/2 hours, including jacking, supporting and removing valve cover , HB inner fender trim, upper engine mount, you know the drill .

I did my timing chain in 8-9 hours. I suck, but I know for certain that it is done RIGHT.
