I don't know why people think the techs that work in GM dealer shops know anything more than the kids at the high school VoTech; they are the same people.
Just to finish this thread: the SS does not have the fuse and relay, it has a PWM module that comes with the fan assembly. The module is now available separately, it was not at the time this thread died out in 2011.
