Cool P0107 causing ESC/TC problem?

Hello all. New member but long time lurker. I've had my '09 HHR LS since last January. It would have some hiccups and say the ESC was off every few weeks but turn back on after driving a few minutes. My wife has been driving it lately since it has more room for the kids and it had ESC and Traction Control off as well as P0107 (MAP sensor). I did a lot of research and figured the MAP sensor just went bad and one of my hubs was bad to boot. So I bought a new sensor and hubs for the front. Replaced the sensor today, cleared the code, and started the car up. No ESC or Traction warnings popped up whereas they used to show up immediately. Took the car for a test drive. Tried to break the tires loose from a stop (no luck, roads are too grippy) to test the traction. No messages ever showed up. Since I don't drive the car I can expect my wife not to notify me if they show up again until I get in it.

So here's my question: Could the MAP sensor go bad and cause the ESC and Traction to turn off? I haven't replaced the hubs yet although I have the parts. I just don't want to do the work if it isn't necessary yet. Thanks for all the help!

Well I guess I didn't research enough to determine that. Oh well, I'll just have new hubs in case anything goes wrong there. Thanks!

Most engine performance based codes will do the ESC & traction thing.

I've been getting P0107 as well as 128 and 304
Today I noticed the Outlet Hose was torn. I think that's causing the P0107 code to happen.
I need to order a new one, but for now, I've duct taped it. This seems like a good test if that's causing the code. I can't find anywhere with the part cheaper than $80. Seems a lot of money for a hose.

P0107 related to a MAF issue

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0107

Which outlet hose is it of which you type?

P0128 = t-stat or cooling system malfunction
P0107 = MAP sensor malfunction (possibly wiring)
P0304 = misfire cylinder #4, could be related to the p0107

I am guessing you mean the air inlet pipe, the wooly worm that is between the air filter and the fender. Doubtful that the cold air intake hose would cause any problem. Duct tape will work fine as will a piece of HVAC tubing from the hardware store, 3 inch I think.

I think the wooly could be fully removed and the car would run fine without codes. Must be something else!

It's not the Wooly - it's the duct in the front that has the PCV hose.

As I said in my post https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...70/#post823570
It's the one between the air cleaner and the throttle body. It's AFTER the MAF so air passing unfiltered and past the MAF caused the MAF to mis read the actual flow. IT did stop the codes so...
