P0442 chevy hhr 2009 .... help please
Engine light came on. Autozone's code is P0442 to replace canister purge valve.
But there is also smell of gas and fuel dripping by driver side rear door...
Could this be anything else, and any videos or how-to's to fix?
Thank you...

Turns out it is the fuel line and it is rotting out.
They said both lines need to be replaced.
Thank you so much for your responses.
At least I wasn't going in getting prices blind.
Is it something I can do myself or should I just let them repair it?

We are told that new pre-formed fuel lines are now available from GM and other sources.
If you are a bit mechanically inclined and can get dirty and use "persuasive" language to inanimate object it could be at home.
If you are replacing the entire line you will need to drop the tank, not as big a deal as it sounds.
Or you could repair in one of several ways. If you use rubber hose be sure to get high pressure fuel rated hose.
