P0455 code, car stalled out after fill up

searched posts for similar issue and didn't see anyone mention what i had happen last 2 times i filled up.

In the last year i had replaced the fuel pump, vapor canister,Vapor canister vent valve solenoid, and further back, a new gas cap and before that replaced the Vapor Canister Purge Valve.
so everything is less than 3 years old. I've been meaning to lift the car up and check the connections to the vcvvs and vap can.

Besides the annoying code/engine light, the only symptom i've had recently is shortly after i would fill the tank up, the car would just die - today i was pulling out onto a road and quickly threw it into neutral and got it started and going again.
I don't smell gas anywhere, mpg is good. gas cap has no visible defects.

wondering if anyone has experienced this symptom of car stalling out shortly after fill up and only having a 0455 code. Also, both times it happened, it didn't happen right away. Today after filling up at costco, i drove around to the other side of the parking lot to fill up the tires (stopped engine) and when i got back in and went to pull out onto the street is when it happened today. Luckily nobody was barreling down the street.

Purge valve defective or stuck open.
When you replaced everything did you blow out the purge line? If not you likely got charcoal in the valve.

If there was charcoal in the tank you have been over filling the tank and flooding the canister with gas, now you have charcoal clogging the filter sock.

When fueling do not top off. When the pump auto stops do not try and squeeze any more in.

I never do that - whoever owned the car before me must've done that all the time as the reason i changed all the parts was i got sick of waiting forever to fill the tank because it would cause the pump to shut off every 1/2 gallon.
It's been a while since i did all the repairs, which is why I asked if anyone on here has had a similar experience with this issue that has taken several months to surface.

Filter Sock? if that is something on the fuel pump then there would be zero chance of having charcoal in that part because i completely removed every single piece from the gas tank before installing the new pump.

I try to put all the details in my initial post but it seems maybe that's too long for people to read through before responding.
