The AC will not run if the blower fan is not on. Could that be what was meant?
The AC is on in defrost and recirc modes with no indicator light in the button.

well, took the fan out reconfirmed it was dead supplying 12v from the batt to the connection since i could do so up close with nice strong alligator clamp connection.

put the new fan in. got the engine up to temp, it did not run. confirmed coolant temp reached 230 promptly shutting the engine off.

So then I did what I wish I though to do the other day, check the cable with the engine at temp, no current. fuse is intact, had already checked the relay, but.. have not tried listening for a click as it reaches temp yet. what temp is it triggered at?

So, was hoping to get the car working cause i'm already late to go up to LA for a fam bday. If this is a head scratcher and will take a long time to zero in on i'll have to just take it in but yea lemmie know.

Derp i realized i re-inserted the POS lead in the wrong meter slot but checked again with it in the Voltage one, and same result, with engine at temp. so, i'm losing power somewhere else...

Good news the fuse is being powered! Fuse checked for continuity.

The relay terminals are being powered, and i had checked that the relay was good, and also swapped with an exact type just incase, still no power at the cable. so.... somewhere a wire is damaged?

i could make a bypass though, is that.. uh... safe?

I am tired i will jack the car up tomorrow and look for rodent damage, and then make a bypass if i can't find anything in the meantime.
should I open up the bottom part of the fusebox to check anything there? i notice there are a few tabs to open it.

Did you test the new fan? Did you check the ground?

Not yet considering the cable is not powered, but tomorrow i'll make sure it's also not a DOA. what do you mean by check the ground exactly? Like, describe checking the ground. i may already have but i need some specificity to learn what that means in this context.

Check fan connection ground wire to clean ground on the strut tower or the rad cradle
fan comes on at 219 degrees

The cable at the fan connector isn't powered until 219 degrees, or if the compressor runs.

G105 ground is on the engine, under the alternator.

Make sure it's clean and tight.

Check for continuity from the pin to any grounded point.
