ah now that I understand, you mean the cable pin I take it, since the other places i confirmed have 12v. So.. the logic is... the pos may be live but the ground may not be reaching the cable., or vise versa. Still waking up for the morning, will update later!

G105 ground is on the engine, under the alternator.

Make sure it's clean and tight.
ah good to know ground locations, will check it out as i look for rodent damage!
It's really odd a picture of G108 posted in here is not in the service manual anymore, that I downloaded. so I just have this really low res image, but I think i can see whats going on... anyone have a more HD picture of this? https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...cations-56504/

Why G108? The cooling fan uses G105.

I really can't make much out, have not had much experience looking at a compact engine bay. Looking for G105 per other users. I think i maybe see it?
but I'll need to take the fan and radiator grill totally off to get to it if it looks like I need to.

Is that it? the red thick wire going down to the metal terminal., that is on the lower part of the alternator I think.

Here is a video of the fan running: https://imgur.com/a/fjX5a2l

I confirmed continuity on the two grounds near the fusebox for now.
Wait, I think i see how to get to G 105 from under the hood, it had a little cap on it, but no continuity, getting pic..

This looks like G105? No continuity.

Powered the fan with G103, found continuity there and on G109 on the left shock tower.

So that's not it then? Is that easy to see from under the car? which direction is best to find it?
my head started spinning laying under the car like that, but I can move it over to my workshop where i have a grease pit., it's hard for me to make out stuff, does anyone have a higher res version of that image?
Could use help locating it, if anyone would not mind like taking a quick video, i'd pay you at this point haha.

yeah, gonna go use the grease pit to locate it without going dizzy, be back later.

Ah well that was much easier!
What a hard to reach spot.. so.. time to find some good brushes or tools to clean that mass of dirt, i can't directly see it though so this will be fun, using a mirror or the phone.

Got a better angle to see G105.
Am I doing this right? I get the same meter reading wether I have the other lead touching G103 behind the left headlight, or stuck in the ground slot of the cable that connects to the fan.
The cable looks intact.
Video of how the meter looks checking G105: https://imgur.com/a/hyn8TZ4
