Please Help! Headlight Problems

Bought a used 2006 HHR LT with about 115k miles on it several weeks ago. Runs well, but I am having some electrical issues. The drivers' side headlight works when unlocking the car with fob key, also the high beams work fine. When I start the car, the low beams won't turn on. Other headlight works fine. Both amber lights work fine. Replaced the bulb and corresponding fuse, and also checked the connection. Still won't turn on. Has anyone had the same or similar problems that could give me some pointers? Would really hate to take it to a dealership or mechanic just for a stupid headlight. Thank you!

There are relays in the underhood fuse box you could check. look in your Owner Manual (link in my sig) or the label inside the fuse box cover.

fuses 65 & 66 are lo beams
relay #71 is lo beams

Moved from Classifieds to a more appropriate section, and added more info to the description.

I think I am a bit confused.

DRL on a 2006 is the turn/running lights.
To turn the low beams on you twist the turn signal stalk.

Welcome to the site, it could be the multi switch , or ground wire!

Angry that I didn't think to check relays myself, so thank you! Unfortunately, the headlight still doesn't work

Reread donbrews post #4. What he's saying is, the headlights don't come on as Daytime Running Lamps(DRL's) in the 06 models.
Only the parking lamps or turn signal lights function as DRL's.

He was just trying to make sure you weren't mistaken about how the DRL's are supposed to work on your year model HHR.

Based on your 1st post where you stated "When I start the car, the low beams won't turn on. " I think you may not understand how they work.
