Possible front right suspension/strut problem

My girlfriend has a 07 Chevy HHR was taking a left turn when there was a solo deep pop from the front right. Now when she makes about 90degree turns there is a rubbing noise and it lurches when she let's on and off the brakes. I have limited knowledge on vehicles but it sound like the struts or suspension. I would appreciate to hear some more knowledgeable people's thoughts and advice on this matter and how severe this problem is. Thank you!

Welcome
Without getting under there and looking, and telling us what you see, it would just be a guess at any number of suspension or brake parts.
How many miles on this car ?
My 1st guess would be the LCA (lower control arm bushing). If the car has over 75k miles that bushing is probably shot along with some other parts if nothing's ever been replaced. Struts, swaybar bushings, ball joints shocks, etc. are all "wear" parts and usually need replacement by 100k miles.
If you're not car savvy or mechanically inclined, take it to a repair shop and let them look and give you an estimate.

She said the vehicle has 116k miles, its definitely the parts wearing. I had the same problem with my 01 chevy cavalier, all factory parts and as soon as I would fix/get something fixed another would break so I just ended up trading it in. Anyways I was hoping it would be something that I could take out and replace, but if the parts are past their wear mileage it would definently be better to let some more qualified look at it.

Thank you sir!

PARK the car now! Have it towed to a mechanic. Broken suspension parts are dangerous to the other people on the road.

X2 ^ have the front end inspected. Good news the LCA or lower control arm replacement, gives you new bushings and new ball joints.
